The FIR against him was re-registered in January 2020, and Navlakha had surrendered before the NIA on April 14, last year. According to the prosecution, some activists allegedly made inflammatory speeches and provocative statements at the Elgar Parishad meet in Pune on December 31, 2017, which triggered violence at Koregaon Bhima in the district the next day.

All the 14 accused, arrested in connection with the molestation of two NRI women in Mumbai on New Year day, were released from the jail after a local court on Tuesday completed their bail formalities. "All the fourteen were released at 6.30 pm, after we received the release orders issued by the court," said jail superintendent Swati Sathe. The men had been arrested on January 4, three days after the incident outside a five-star hotel in suburban Juhu.
